Online tuition in Haryana
Haryana splits into two genuinely different markets - Gurugram and Faridabad function as Delhi NCR, while the rest of the state runs HBSE with Hindi as the usual medium.

Cities we teach: Gurugram, Faridabad, Panipat, Hisar
Haryana is unusual among Indian states in how sharply it divides. Gurugram and Faridabad function as part of the Delhi NCR market: CBSE-dominated, English-medium, with coaching options on every corner. The rest of the state largely runs HBSE with Hindi as the usual medium of instruction, and a much thinner supply of subject specialists. Those are different problems and it would be misleading to answer them together.
State board or CBSE - what actually differs?
The single most useful thing to settle before any teaching starts, because the two are not interchangeable at the senior end.
| The Haryana board (HBSE) | CBSE | |
|---|---|---|
| Class 10 exam | Class 10 board exam | CBSE board exam |
| Past papers to practise | Its own - CBSE papers do not substitute | CBSE papers |
| Textbooks | State-published | Largely NCERT |
| Language subject | Hindi, usually compulsory | Varies by school |
| Typical year start | April | April |
The row that costs families most is the second one. A child preparing for Class 10 board exam by working through CBSE past papers is rehearsing for a different examination, and it is a mistake we see regularly. The board is confirmed at the assessment before any plan is made — see the board page and our Class 10 guide, whose exam-craft advice transfers across boards even where the papers do not.
Which part of Haryana are you in?
It matters more here than in most states, and pretending otherwise would be unhelpful. Haryana contains two quite different schooling markets.
Gurugram and Faridabad function as part of Delhi NCR: overwhelmingly CBSE, largely English-medium, with dense coaching supply. If that is you, the useful question is not access — you have plenty of options — but whether a large batch can notice your particular child. Our Delhi NCR page is written for exactly this market and is probably the more relevant one.
The rest of the state — Panipat, Hisar, Rohtak, Karnal and the districts — largely runs HBSE with Hindi as the usual medium, and a far thinner supply of teachers who know a senior-class subject to exam depth. There the constraint is genuinely access, and that is what an online class removes: the teacher is matched on board, class and subject from a national pool rather than on who happens to live nearby.
My child is taught in Hindi medium and needs English. What actually helps?
This applies mainly to the district half of the state rather than the NCR half, where schooling is largely English-medium already — another reason the two halves need different answers.
Outside Gurugram and Faridabad, Hindi is the usual medium, and the request we get is for English confidence rather than academic help. The first thing to establish is which half is actually missing. A child who cannot read an unfamiliar English page aloud has a decoding gap, and phonics is the honest starting point whatever her age — finite, faster than parents expect, and it unblocks speaking as a by-product because reading aloud is where most classroom speaking happens.
A child who reads that page adequately and still will not speak has the opposite problem: decoding is fine and she needs talk time, which a forty-child classroom cannot provide. Our posts on reading English and understanding but not speaking set out how to check in about two minutes. Hindi is taught as a full subject as well.
Which boards do you cover in Haryana?
HBSE and CBSE, plus ICSE where families need it. The state boards page covers how state syllabuses differ from CBSE generally.
The board is confirmed at the assessment rather than inferred from your address — which matters in Haryana specifically, because a Gurugram address makes CBSE likely while a district address does not settle it either way. At Class 10 an HBSE student and a CBSE student sit different papers and need different past papers.
Maths is the most requested subject, and the approach is to find where understanding actually broke down rather than re-teaching the current chapter harder — a Class 8 algebra problem frequently traces back to Class 6 fractions, which is why more algebra practice fails to move the mark. Class 1 to Class 10 are covered.
What changes for a family in Haryana
Local tuition depends on who happens to teach near you. An online class does not, which matters most where specialist supply is thin.
- HBSE and CBSE both covered, matched to your child's school rather than your district
- Subject specialists reachable from Hisar or Panipat as easily as from Gurugram
- English and phonics support for children taught in Hindi medium
- The same teacher weekly, against a market of large NCR coaching batches

Tuition in Haryana, honestly answered
We live in Gurugram. Is this the right page for us?
Probably the Delhi NCR page instead - Gurugram and Faridabad function as part of that market, being CBSE-dominated with dense local supply.
Do you teach the HBSE board?
Yes, along with CBSE and ICSE. The board is confirmed at the assessment - see state boards.
My child studies in Hindi medium. Can you help with English?
Yes, but first work out which problem it is. If your child cannot read an unfamiliar English page aloud, phonics comes first at any age. If she reads but will not speak, spoken English is the answer.
We are in Hisar or Panipat. Will we get good teachers?
The same ones a family in Gurugram reaches, because the class is live over video. In the district towns that is the substantive benefit rather than a convenience - local specialist supply for senior-class subjects is genuinely thin.
How much does online tuition cost here?
Group classes start at the Class 1 to 5 band and rise for the senior classes. One-to-one is available for a specific gap. See the fees page.
Is the free assessment really free?
Yes. One live class, no card, nothing to cancel. Tell us which part of Haryana you are in at booking, since the NCR districts and the rest of the state usually need different things.
Can we sit in on the classes?
Yes, any time. If you have NCR coaching to compare against, the useful measure is how much of the session is your child's own work.
What if we miss a class?
You get the recording and the thread is resumed the week after, so a missed session does not become an unacknowledged gap.
Tell us your child's school, class and board.
One free live class first, with no card and nothing to cancel. Afterwards you get an honest note on what the teacher actually noticed.
- You tell us the class, board and what is going wrong.
- We match a teacher who has taught exactly that, and send you a time.
- A free 20-minute assessment. Sit beside your child if you like.
- No card, no commitment
- Live classes, never a crowd
- The same teacher every week
