Free learning games for Class 1 to 10
These are Scholur’s free learning games for Class 1 to 10 - spelling and dictation read aloud in a real voice, a times tables race that goes to 20, class-wise quizzes in grammar, science and general knowledge, phonics for children still decoding, and a sixty-second mental maths sprint. 20 games and 3 parent tools, all running in the browser with no account and nothing to install.
The boring part is what took the time. Word lists that match what a Class 3 child in India is actually taught, in British spellings rather than American. Maths clamped to what the current NCERT books really contain. Admission rules checked against government orders, with the ones we could not verify marked as unverified rather than quietly guessed. That is the part most free tool sites skip.
Pick your child’s class
Each game is built for a short daily go rather than a long session, because spelling, tables and dictation all improve through frequency. Filter by class and subject rather than reading every card - a game pitched two years off is worse than no game.
All 20 games. Pick a class to narrow them down.
- Class 1 to 10
Dictation words with audio
Class-wise dictation lists read aloud by the browser, at a speed you choose, with a printable answer sheet.
Play - Class 1 to 10
Spelling test
The word is read aloud and used in a sentence; your child types it. Twenty real words per class, marked instantly.
Play - Class 2 to 8
Times tables race
Timed tables practice all the way to 20, not 12 - because that is what Indian schools actually ask for.
Play - Class 1 to 10
English grammar quiz
Nouns, opposites, articles, tenses and more, set at the right level for each class, with an explanation on every question.
Play - Class 1 to 10
Mental maths sprint
Sixty seconds of quick sums, pitched at your child's class. Speed only counts once the method is solid.
Play - Class 6 to 10
Science quiz
Class-wise science questions from Class 6 to 10, each one explained rather than just marked.
Play - Class 1 to 10
General knowledge quiz
India-focused general knowledge by class - states, symbols, geography, history and the solar system.
Play - Class 1 to 8

Vocabulary practice by class, with every answer used in a sentence so the word actually sticks.

Hindi Word Quiz - Opposites, Synonyms and Idioms
Hindi opposites, synonyms and idioms - the most recoverable marks in the vyakaran section, asked three different ways.
Play - Class 3 to 7
Life Cycles and the Water Cycle
Put the stages in order - and start a cycle anywhere, because a cycle has no beginning. Butterfly, frog, seed, water, digestion.
Play - Class 2 to 5
Word Problems - Which Operation?
Asks which operation to use before asking for the answer, because that is where word-problem marks are actually lost.
Play - Class 1 to 4
Clock - Learn to Tell the Time
Drag the hands to set the time. The hour hand moves between the numbers, which is what most children's clocks get wrong.
Play - Class 3 to 6
Fractions on a Number Line
Drag each fraction to its place. A fraction is a number with one position - the thing a pizza cannot teach and Class 5 depends on.
Play - Class 1 to 5
Human Body Parts
Drag each label onto the right part of the body. Sense organs first, then the organs inside - named in English and Hindi.
Play - Class 3 to 8
India Map Quiz - Drag and Drop the States
Drag each state and capital onto its right place. Production rather than multiple choice, which is what a blank outline map actually asks for.
Play - Class 1 to 8
Word Search
Six packs from first words to science and maths vocabulary, on a grid generated fresh every round.
Play - Class 1 to 5
Memory Match
Flip cards and match pairs of facts - times tables, opposites, irregular plurals, Hindi matras. Six packs across three subjects.
Play - Class 1 to 8
Number Pop
An arcade maths game, not a quiz. Bubbles rise, you pop only the ones matching the rule, and it speeds up as you score.
Play - Class 1 to 3
Hindi Word Builder - build the Hindi word
Build Hindi words from letter tiles and watch where each matra lands - including the i matra, written before the letter it is said after.
Play - Class 1 to 3
Phonics sound match
Beginning sounds, ending sounds, blending and rhyme - read aloud, for children still learning to decode.

Parent tools
Not games. These answer one question and stop - which class a child is eligible for, what a percentage works out to, or a worksheet to print.

Four rules we hold ourselves to
Children’s games are one of the easiest places on the internet to behave badly - an advert between rounds, a sign-up to save progress, a tracker following a nine-year-old around the web. None of that happens on these pages, and none of it ever will.
The other rule is about length. Spelling, tables and reading fluency improve through short, frequent repetition, so each tool is designed for about ten minutes. A child will come back to ten minutes tomorrow. They will not come back to forty.
No account, no download
Every tool runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or laptop. Nothing to install, no login, and no progress locked behind a sign-up.
No adverts, ever
These are for children. There is no advertising, no third-party tracking and no targeting of any kind on these pages.
Nothing is stored
No score history, no cookie, no analytics on what a child types. Close the tab and it is gone - including the date of birth on the admission calculator.
Written for the Indian syllabus
British spellings, tables to 20, rupees, NCERT-bounded maths and Indian state admission rules. Not an American tool with the currency changed.
Where a game stops helping
Games are good at drilling things a child already half-knows. They are poor at explaining why a method works, and useless at spotting that a Class 6 child is stuck because of something they missed in Class 3.
That is what a teacher is for. If your child is practising every day and still not improving, the problem is almost never effort - it is a gap further back, and someone needs to find it.
- Games help with spelling, tables and dictation
- Worksheets help with method and written practice
- A teacher finds the gap that caused the trouble
What parents ask
Are all of these free?
Yes, every one of them, with no account and nothing to download. That applies whether or not you ever book a class with us. There is no trial, no watermark and no premium tier hiding behind them.
Does my child need an account?
No, and there is nowhere to make one. No score is kept between visits, nothing a child types is stored, and no analytics run on children’s interactions with these pages - see the privacy policy.
Are these safe for a young child to use alone?
That is the intention. There is no advertising, no chat with strangers, no purchases and no sign-up on any of these pages. The one thing worth an adult being present for is the spelling and dictation audio, because a child needs someone to mark the writing with them afterwards.
Which classes are they for?
Spelling, dictation and grammar run from Class 1 to 10. Times tables suit Class 2 to 8. The maths worksheet generator covers Class 1 to 5. The admission age calculator is for parents of children aged roughly two to eight rather than for children at all.
Do they work on a phone?
Yes. They are built for a mid-range Android phone first, with buttons large enough for a child's thumb and very little to download. Everything works in any modern browser without installing anything.
Can we print anything?
Yes. The maths worksheet generator prints an A4 sheet with the answer key on a separate page. The spelling and dictation word lists print one class per sheet, and there is a printable times tables chart.
Do games actually help, or is it just screen time?
For spelling, times tables and dictation, short daily repetition genuinely helps, and a game is simply the most tolerable way to get a child to do it. For understanding why a method works, or for finding the gap that caused the trouble, a game is no substitute for a teacher.
How long should a child spend on these?
Ten minutes. Each tool is designed for one short daily go, because spelling and tables improve through frequency rather than length. A child will come back to ten minutes tomorrow. They will not come back to forty.
Can I ask for a particular game?
Yes. Message Kanchan on WhatsApp with your child's class and what they keep getting stuck on. Requests from several parents for the same thing move it up the list.
Are the answers checked?
Every spelling word has been checked against a dictionary, every grammar question was written to have one defensible answer, and the maths and tables answers are computed from the same numbers that build the question, so an answer key cannot drift out of step. If you find a mistake, tell us - a wrong answer on a children’s education site matters more than a broken page.
Practice sticks faster with someone watching.

- We match a teacher who has taught exactly that, and send you a time.
