Class 1 to 5
One teacher across all subjects, building the basics.
₹6,000/month, in person
The same child taught online in a group class is ₹3,000 a month. The difference is travel and undivided attention.
A free 20-minute assessment. We find where your child actually is, then tell you what we would do about it. No card, no commitment.
Not sure where to start?
Message Kanchan - tell us the class and board, and we'll take it from there.
Ask on WhatsApp - opens WhatsAppHome tuition in Bengaluru is the one part of Scholur that is not online. A teacher comes to you, teaches a group of one to three children face to face, and works from whatever your child’s school is covering that week. It is limited to Class 1 to 5, and to parts of South and East Bengaluru, because one person can only be in one place at a time.
For a six or seven year old who cannot yet sit still in front of a screen, that matters. Younger children need someone at the table who can see the page, turn it round, and put a finger on the word they skipped. Everything else we teach - Class 6 to 10, every subject, every board - is taught online, and taught well.
Bengaluru also has a specific problem that makes evening tuition harder than it sounds. The city is the third slowest in the world to drive across, at an average of 34 minutes to cover 10 km in the centre. Sending a Class 3 child out for a second commute after school is a real cost. Either the teacher travels, or the class does not.
Areas we can reach
Not on the list? Say where you are and we will tell you honestly whether a teacher can get to you - or suggest online instead.
Areas with their own page
Start with the school book
Not a parallel syllabus. Whatever came home that week is what we open first, so the child sees the connection immediately.
Read aloud, every time
In a group of three, every child reads out loud in every session. That is the whole reason to keep the group this small.
Two minutes with you at the end
What went well, what did not, and one specific thing to practise before the next class. Face to face, not a monthly form.
We would rather turn down a booking than take one that will not work. In these cases online is genuinely the better choice, and cheaper:
Every teacher who visits
14+ years of classroom teaching sits behind the matching. You meet whoever will teach your child in the assessment, before anything is paid.
Home tuition is the dearest thing we offer, and it should be: it is one teacher, in your house, for one child or a very small group, with travel time nobody else is paying for. The fee moves with the class because a Class 9 board year is not a Class 2 year.

Per child, per month, with nothing added later. Every plan and price is published here - including the online options, which most families outside Bengaluru take instead.
In-person costs more and we have very few seats, so it is worth being blunt about when it is genuinely the better choice and when it is simply the more expensive one.
If you are not sure, say so in the free assessment and the teacher will tell you which they would pick for your child. It is a short conversation and we would rather have it than sell you the dearer option by default.
Tell us your child’s class and your area. If a teacher can reach you we will arrange a free assessment in person. If not, we will say so and suggest the online option rather than leaving you waiting.
In-person teaching runs out of HSR Layout, so it realistically covers South and East Bengaluru - HSR Layout, Koramangala, BTM, Bellandur, Sarjapur Road, Electronic City and the Whitefield side. If you are further out we will say so rather than promise a teacher who then cancels.
Because that is what can be taught well face to face by the teachers who travel. Class 6 to 10 needs subject specialists, and matching a Class 9 student to the right Physics or Maths teacher works far better online than by geography. We would rather be honest about that than sell you a nearby teacher who is wrong for the subject.
Few. In-person groups are one to three children and a teacher can only be in one place at a time, so this fills quickly and often has no availability at all. If there is no space we will tell you plainly instead of putting you on an indefinite list.
Not automatically. For a Class 1 or 2 child who cannot yet sit still on a call, in person genuinely helps. For a child who is comfortable with a screen, online live classes work just as well and cost less. We will tell you which we think suits your child after the assessment, even when that is the cheaper answer.
Yes. We ask what the school is covering that week and work alongside it rather than running a parallel course. That works for CBSE, ICSE and the Karnataka State board - Bengaluru has all three within a few kilometres of each other, and children move between them more often than people expect.
Everything except the in-person tier is taught online, anywhere in India, in the same live classes.
