The single most useful thing to settle before any teaching starts, because the two are not interchangeable at the senior end.

The row that costs families most is the second one. A child preparing for Class 10 board exam by working through CBSE past papers is rehearsing for a different examination, and it is a mistake we see regularly. Because it changes the whole shape of preparation, and in Uttar Pradesh the two genuinely coexist in the same towns rather than dividing neatly by area. The first thing we establish at the assessment is which board your child actually sits.

At Class 10 the difference is concrete. A UP Board student sits UPMSP's paper; a CBSE student sits CBSE's. The paper structures differ, the question conventions differ, and crucially the past papers a child should be practising on differ. Practising CBSE papers for a UP Board exam is not a small inefficiency - it is preparation for a different test, and it is a mistake we see regularly.

This is one of the most common concerns in Uttar Pradesh and it deserves a straight answer rather than a sales pitch. A child taught largely in Hindi medium can be genuinely strong academically and still lack confidence in English, and that gap widens exactly when it starts to matter - senior classes, interviews, anything after school.

The important thing is to identify which of two problems it is, because they need opposite responses. If your child cannot read an unfamiliar English page aloud, the issue is decoding, and phonics is the honest first step regardless of age - it is a finite job and the shorter route. If your child reads English fine but freezes when asked to speak, that is a confidence and practice problem, and spoken English with real talk time is what helps.

For the teaching, no - classes are live over video, so Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Agra, Prayagraj and any district town reach exactly the same teachers. That matters more here than in most states, simply because UP is so large that local supply varies enormously.

In a district town the pool of people who know Class 10 Physics or Maths to exam depth is genuinely small, and families often end up choosing between a generalist nearby and a long journey. Online removes that choice rather than improving it - the teacher is matched on board, class and subject from a national pool.

One practical exception worth naming: Noida and Ghaziabad function as part of the Delhi NCR market rather than the wider state one, being CBSE-dominated and priced and taught the same way as Delhi. If that is where you are, that page is the more relevant one.
