Which boards do you teach - CBSE, ICSE or state?
All three. CBSE is the most common request and ICSE the next, but state boards are taught properly rather than as an afterthought, including Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
One thing worth knowing if your child is in Class 1 to 5 specifically: CBSE publishes no syllabus document below Class 9 and sets no exam before Class 10. Below Class 9 it advises rather than instructs, which means your school is making most of the real decisions about what gets taught and when. Does 'near me' matter for online tuition?
No, and that is the honest answer even though it is the phrase everyone searches. Because classes are live over video, the teacher pool available to a family in a small town is the same as the pool available to a family in Bengaluru. Proximity stops being the constraint it genuinely is for offline tuition.
That changes what you are choosing on. Instead of picking whoever teaches within a reasonable drive and hoping they know your child's board, the teacher is matched on board, class and subject. For Class 1 to 5 that usually means one teacher across subjects; for a specific gap it can mean a specialist for a few weeks.
The one genuine exception is in-person teaching, which cannot escape geography.
