Does online tuition work for young children?
Often yes, sometimes no, and the thing that decides it is almost never the screen. It is how many children are in the class, whether the same teacher comes back each week, and whether that teacher can see your child's face and their page at the same time. A one-to-one online class with a teacher who has taught that exact year is a genuinely good lesson. A live class of forty children with a teacher who cannot see any of them is not, and no amount of production quality fixes it.
We teach online, so we have an obvious interest in the answer. That is exactly why this post starts with the cases where online is the wrong choice, in detail. If your child is one of them, we would rather you knew now than three months and several thousand rupees later - and if you are in Bengaluru, our own in-person home tuition exists precisely because some children need it.
