Five things separate a good provider from a bad one: how many children are in the class, whether the same teacher returns each week, whether fees are published, what happens in the trial, and whether they will tell you when you do not need them.

What you are really asking
1How many children are in one class?
The most important question and the least advertised. A batch of twenty is a lecture: a child who is behind stays behind, because nobody has time to find out why. Ask for the number, not the word 'small'. Ours is one to three.
2Is it the same teacher every week?
Large platforms rotate teachers by availability. A child who has to re-explain their gap every fortnight makes no progress, and a teacher who never sees the same child twice cannot notice a pattern. Ask whether the teacher is assigned or allocated per session.
3Are the fees published?
If the price only arrives after a sales call, that is a choice, and it is rarely made because the number is low. Ours are on the fees page. Compare the monthly figure and the group size together - either alone tells you nothing.
4What actually happens in the trial?
A good trial diagnoses; a bad one sells. You should come out of it knowing something specific you did not know before - usually that the gap is a year or two below where you assumed. If the trial ends with a discount that expires tonight, you learnt nothing about the teaching.
5Will they tell you when you do not need them?
The one nobody asks. A provider that has never turned a family away is optimising for enrolment. Sometimes the honest answer is that a child needs one gap closed and then leaving alone, and you should expect to be told that.

Every tuition company says it is the best, which makes the claim useless. What is useful is knowing what to compare, because the differences that matter are not the ones the marketing talks about. Almost nobody advertises their group size, and it is the single strongest predictor of whether tuition works.
What 'best' means changes with the class
A parent searching this for a Class 2 child and a parent searching it for a Class 10 child want different things, and a provider that is right for one is often wrong for the other.
Class 1 to 5. One teacher across all subjects, because the gap at this age is rarely one subject - it is reading, or number sense, or handwriting speed holding everything else back. See Class 1 to 5 tuition.
Class 6 to 8. Subject teachers start to matter, particularly in maths and science, where the syllabus outruns a generalist.

Board matters more than most sites admit
"Best online tuition for class 10 cbse" carries the board for a reason. A CBSE Class 10 child sits one Science paper covering physics, chemistry and biology; an ICSE child sits them separately. A tutor who does not know which your child sits will teach the wrong shape of answer.

When we are the wrong choice
Worth saying plainly, because a page of criteria means nothing if every criterion happens to favour the person who wrote it.
- You want the cheapest option. We are not it. A group of three costs more per child than a batch of twenty, necessarily.
- You want exam cramming for Class 11 or 12. We teach Class 1 to 10 and stop there.
- Your child needs in-person help and you are not in Bengaluru. Then find someone local; see what to ask a home tutor before you do.
- Your child is doing fine. Some children need one gap closed and then leaving alone. The free assessment will say so if that is the case.
How to use a free trial properly
Most providers offer one, so the trial is where the comparison actually happens. Three things to do with ours or anyone's:
- Watch the first ten minutes. A teacher who starts by finding out what the child knows is diagnosing. One who starts with today's chapter is delivering.
- Ask afterwards what they noticed. A useful answer is specific - place value, or matras, or reading the question twice. A vague one means nothing was noticed.
- Do not decide during the call. Anything that must be signed tonight is a sales tactic, not a teaching one.

How to compare fees honestly (the per-hour sum)
Almost nobody quotes a per-hour figure, because a monthly number reads smaller. So the comparison every parent needs is one they have to do themselves, and it takes ten seconds:
Monthly fee ÷ (sessions per week × 4) = cost per session. Then divide by the length of a session, and by nothing else - not by the number of subjects, and never by the number of children in the batch.
Two things this exposes immediately:
- A cheap batch is usually not cheap per child-minute of attention. Twenty children in a ninety-minute class is four and a half minutes each if the teacher divides attention perfectly, which nobody does. A group of three is thirty. The per-hour fee can be half and the per-hour teaching a sixth.
- Recorded content is not tuition and should not be priced against it. A library of videos costs nothing extra to serve to the ten-thousandth buyer. A teacher who turns up for your child costs the same every week, which is why the two can never meet on price and should not be compared on it.
Ask for the annual figure too, including any registration fee, material charge or exam-term top-up. A monthly price with three additions is a different product from the one advertised.

What actually matters at each class - it is not the same thing
“Best” is not one standard. What separates a good provider from a bad one at Class 3 has almost nothing to do with what separates them at Class 10, and judging a primary provider on board-exam criteria is how parents end up buying the wrong thing.

There is no single answer, and any site claiming to be it is selling rather than helping. Judge on group size, whether the same teacher returns each week, whether fees are published, and what the trial actually tells you about your child. Those four separate good from bad far more reliably than any ranking.
What is the best online tuition for Class 10 CBSE?
For a board year, the things that matter are a subject specialist rather than a generalist, a plan built around where marks are actually lost, and small enough groups that a weak strand gets found. How much should online tuition cost?

Is online tuition as good as in person?
For Class 1 to 5 there is a genuine case for sitting beside a child, which is why we teach in person in parts of Bengaluru. Above that, group size and teacher consistency decide progress, and online delivers both more reliably because no class is lost to travel.
How do I judge a tutor in the first class?
Watch whether they find out what your child knows before teaching anything, and ask afterwards what they noticed. A specific answer means they were paying attention to your child rather than to the chapter.
Do you teach Class 11 and 12?
No. We teach Class 1 to 10 and stop there, because doing those years properly is a different job from board-plus coaching. If you need Class 11 or 12, we are the wrong choice and would rather say so.
What are online tuition fees per hour in India?
The honest answer is that the range is enormous - a large recorded batch and a three-child live group are different products sold under one phrase. Do the sum yourself: monthly fee divided by sessions per month, then by session length. Then ask how many children share that hour, because a low per-hour fee across twenty children is not cheap per child.
Which is the best online tuition for Class 10 CBSE?
For Class 10 specifically, the thing to judge is whether the provider diagnoses why marks are lost rather than just covering chapters again. Work not shown, questions misread and concepts genuinely missing look identical on a report card and need completely different fixes. Ask at the trial which of the three your child is doing.
Is online tuition as good as a home tutor?
For most families in most subjects, yes, and it removes travel time on both sides - which is why the same money buys a smaller group. It is genuinely worse where a child needs physical presence to stay on task at all. That is a real category, and if it is your child, hire locally.
Should I choose a big brand or a small provider?
Judge the teacher, not the brand, because the teacher is what your child gets. A large provider can assign a different one each week; a small one can be excellent or unaccountable. The question that separates them is the same either way - will the same person teach my child every session, and what happens if they do not fit.
