Online tuition in Sharjah
Sharjah is the one emirate whose education authority publishes a dedicated calendar for Asian curricula, and the one with a three-day weekend. Both change what tuition should look like here - and searches for online tuition in Sharjah rank above Dubai, Bangalore and Chennai worldwide.
The timing, plainly
India is 90 minutes ahead, and Sharjah's three-day weekend opens up Friday classes the rest of the UAE cannot take.
- School week
- Monday to Friday, with a Friday-to-Sunday government weekend
- Group classes
- AED 349 to AED 549/mo
- One-to-one
- from AED 599/mo
Sharjah is unusual twice over. Its education authority, SPEA, established by Emiri Decree 45 of 2018, publishes a dedicated "Asian curricula" academic calendar running April to March - a formal acknowledgement that a large share of the emirate's children are on the Indian school year. And Sharjah runs a four-day government week with a three-day weekend, unlike the Saturday-Sunday weekend the rest of the UAE adopted in January 2022. Roughly 22 of the UAE's 110 CBSE-affiliated schools are in Sharjah, on an approximate breakdown of CBSE's directory. For a family here, both of those quirks are practical scheduling facts rather than trivia, and they are why this page exists separately from the Dubai one.
Why does SPEA's Asian-curricula calendar matter for tuition?
Because it is the clearest official confirmation anywhere in the Gulf that Indian-curriculum children are on the Indian school year. SPEA publishes a calendar specifically for Asian curricula running April to March - for 2025-26 it ran from 7 April 2025 to 23 March 2026, including a seven-week summer break.
A tutor working to a September-start rhythm is simply out of phase with that. A teacher in India is in phase with it by default, because it is the year they already teach. When your child's Term 1 begins in April, so does the teaching.
Sharjah's private schools also run a distinct calendar more broadly - the Ministry of Education's 2025-26 calendar explicitly exempts them from the common return date that applies elsewhere. So it is worth checking your own school's dates rather than assuming the federal ones apply.
How does Sharjah's three-day weekend change scheduling?
It gives you a genuinely useful extra option. The rest of the UAE moved to a Saturday-Sunday weekend on 1 January 2022, but Sharjah runs a four-day government week with a three-day weekend covering Friday as well.
For tuition that means Friday is available to Sharjah families in a way it is not to families in Dubai or Abu Dhabi - a full free morning, with India only 90 minutes ahead, which is comfortably inside a normal Indian teaching day rather than an awkward early slot. Families who find weekday evenings crowded with school activities often end up preferring it.
Weekday evenings still work perfectly well too: a 6pm class in India is 4:30pm here. The point is simply that you have more room than most.
Which Indian-curriculum schools are in Sharjah?
Established Indian-curriculum schools in the emirate include Sharjah Indian School, Delhi Private School Sharjah, Our Own English High School, GEMS Millennium School and Amity Private School.
These are named as a factual matter from CBSE's affiliation directory; no affiliation with any of them is implied. Whichever your child attends, the underlying CBSE or ICSE syllabus is the one our teachers work from - using your child's own books and their school's actual sequence rather than a generic plan.
On an approximate reading of CBSE's directory by address, around 22 of the UAE's 110 CBSE-affiliated schools sit in Sharjah, second only to Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Which subjects and classes do you cover for Sharjah families?
Class 1 to Class 10, on CBSE, ICSE and state boards. maths tuition in sharjah is among the established local searches, and Maths is the most requested subject here as almost everywhere.

Why families in Sharjah choose a teacher in India
Not because it is cheaper. Because your child is sitting the Indian syllabus, and the people who know that syllabus best are the ones who teach it every day.
- A three-day weekend genuinely widens the class times available to you
- Teaching that already runs on the April-to-March year SPEA publishes for Asian curricula
- Your child's own school books, taught by a teacher who knows that syllabus well
- No cross-emirate commute for a tutor, in summer or otherwise

Tuition in Sharjah, honestly answered
Can we have classes on Friday, given Sharjah's weekend?
Yes, and it is one of the practical advantages of being in Sharjah rather than Dubai. Sharjah's three-day weekend includes Friday, and with India only 90 minutes ahead a Friday morning class here falls inside a normal Indian teaching day rather than at an awkward hour.
Our school follows the April-to-March year. Does your teaching match it?
It does, because that is the Indian school year. SPEA publishes a dedicated Asian-curricula calendar running April to March, so if your child's school uses it, your terms and our teaching move together rather than being six months out of phase.
Is Sharjah's school calendar different from the rest of the UAE?
It can be. Sharjah private schools follow a distinct calendar, and the Ministry of Education's 2025-26 calendar explicitly exempts them from the common return date applied elsewhere. Check your own school's published dates rather than assuming the federal calendar applies.
How much does online tuition cost for a Sharjah family?
Group classes are AED 349 a month for Class 1 to 5, AED 449 for Class 6 to 8 and AED 549 for Class 9 to 10, covering sixteen live classes. One-to-one starts at AED 599, and spoken English is AED 249 flat. A free assessment comes first.
Who regulates private schools in Sharjah?
SPEA, the Sharjah Private Education Authority, created by Emiri Decree 45 of 2018. It is the body that publishes the Asian-curricula academic calendar, which is the detail most relevant to Indian-curriculum families.
Do you cover both CBSE and ICSE for Sharjah students?
Yes, from Class 1 to Class 10, along with state boards for families who need them. The teacher is matched to your child's board - CBSE or ICSE - at the assessment rather than assigned generically.
Can we sit in on the classes?
Yes, any time. Many parents watch the first few, particularly to hear how a teacher responds when a child gets something wrong - which is more informative than any description of teaching method.
